Carl Carson Wever

Mrs. Eleanor Wever (1878 - 1951) who posted bond for Mrs. Carolann Smith on Monday, April 10, 1944 was the wife of Mr. Carl Carson Wever.

Mr. Wever was born in 1877 on April 11th in Ringo Point, Missouri. His father was Isaac Wever (1826 - ?) and his mother was Kate Fowler Wever (1837 - 1931).

He was admitted to the bar at Kirksville, Missouri in 1898 and he practiced law throughout his career for various companies. He married Eleanor Stewart on April 26, 1906. Mr. and Mrs. Wever lived in Missouri until 1910 and then they moved to Idabel, Oklahoma. They later relocated in 1917 to Casper, Wyoming after Mr. Wever got a job with the Exploration Oil and Gas company.

In 1924 Mr. Fay Smith was relocated by his employer, Williamsport Wire Rope company, to Casper, Wyoming. His wife, Mrs. Carolann Smith, participated in the events provided by the wives of high society, which is where she most likely met Mrs. Eleanor Wever.

In 1927 Mr. and Mrs. Wever moved to Pawhuska, Oklahoma when he took a job with the Hamilton, Gross, and Howard Law Firm. Carl Wever died on February 12, 1959. His grave is in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
