Rothline - Bigfoot Stories

Bigfoot Researcher and Cryptozoologist Craig Woolheater

On the 30th of May 1994 Craig Woolheader encountered a Bigfoot. It was at night while he was driving to Dallas from New Orleans. Craig grew up in East Texas a hot spot for Bigfoot activity.

He has been interested in strange and unusual subjects since childhood. At the age of nine he learned about the Lake Worth Monster from a newspaper headline. Lake Worth was and is near where he lives.

He was influenced by the cryptozoology book "Strange Creatures from Time and Space" by John A. Keel. On the 23rd of August 1972 the most popular Bigfoot movie was released. "The Legend of Boggy Creek" greatly influenced Craig who realized that there may be Bigfoots closer to his home area than he had thought.

In 1999 Craig saw a post on a message board about a group looking for people who were interested in researching Bigfoot. He jumped at the opportunity and later that year this group formed the Texas Bigfoot Research Center.

In January of 2007 the group reorganized as a non-profit scientific research organization named Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy. Then in March of 2013 the organization changed its name to the North American Wood Ape Conservancy.

Craig helped to start a website at Cryptomundo.com to provide cryptozoology news. He posts to the Bigfoot Report a blog on the Cryptomundo site. On the 24th of December 2013 Craig resurrected the original Texas Bigfoot Research Center.

He has also appeared in or contributed to several TV programs, documentaries, and films like Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot", Travel Channel's "Weird Travels", and the History Channel's "Monster Quest".

Craig Woolheader is a Bigfoot Researcher and Cryptozoologist. He still lives in Texas but has traveled to several Bigfoot Conferences throughout the United States. Links to his social media accounts have been provided in the description of this video.
