Oklahoma Bigfoot in Catoosa

Catoosa Oklahoma is known for its iconic Route 66 landmark: The Blue Whale. But Catoosa has also had Bigfoot sightings. The most well known sighting occurred in 2002 on the 21st of November around 7:30 in the morning.

An employee at a dental office looked out a window and saw a Bigfoot. This Bigfoot was dark brown, nearly 7 feet tall, and walked beside an old abandoned house. The witness reported the sighting on the 9th of October 2003 to the North American Woodape Conservancy.

Daryl Colyer a Field Operations Coordinator for the Conservancy investigated. Due the amount of time between the sighting and the reporting no physical evidence or footprints were able to be collected. The witness told the investigator that the creature had a swayed back, took long strides as it walked, and swung its arms widely. The creature resembled an ape but walked more upright like a human.
