Bigfoot Encounter Near Greenleaf Lake in Braggs Oklahoma

On the 18th of November 2001 a couple of hunters were traveling on a dirt road in Braggs, Oklahoma near Greenleaf Lake. The dirt road was in a game management area on a hill in thick woods. The lady who was driving saw a seven foot creature cross the road in two strides.

As the lady slowed the vehicle, both hunters looked at the creature. The dark haired, ape-like creature had a human face. It turned its whole upper body and looked back at them. The hunters were shocked and scared.

In a quick, smooth run the creature disappeared into the woods. The hunters immediately left the area and did not return.

A month later the lady hunter was curious about what she had encountered. She returned a few more times to visit that spot. She eventually reported the incident to a Bigfoot Investigator who interviewed and documented her statements.

She stated that the creature was like a tall, skinny, but hairy human. Except for the face. There was no hair on the face. The creature also seemed surprised by the presence of the hunters in the woods. That particular road in the game management area is only open to the public during deer hunting season.

She said the eyes were very real and the creature just stared at them with a surprised expression. It was a matter of seconds before the creature disappeared. She did not hear or smell anything unusual. In fact, she said that the area was extremely quiet at the time.

The Investigator asked the lady to show him the area where she saw the creature. He assessed the area and noted that there were caves, a few abandoned houses, and livestock in the area. The area was hilly with thick woods and ravines.
